Musical theatre writers Caitlyn Burt & Amir Shoenfeld (When We Strike) co-host The West End Frame Show!

Andrew Caitlyn and Amir discuss A Chorus Line (Sadler's Wells) and I'm Gonna Marry You Tobey Maguire (Southwark Playhouse) as well as the latest news about Lin-Manuel Miranda's new musical, Your Lie In April, Dear Evan Hansen in Australia, The History Boys and lots more.

Caitlyn and Amir were the first writing team to be selected for the Cameron Mackintosh Composer Residency, hosted by Theatr Clwyd in 2022. They are the creators of new musical in development, Otto Weidt's Brush And Broom Workshop For The Blind and their very Australian audio musical Sheila The Tiny Turtle is featured on the podcast Bite-Sized Broadway.

Their song 'Looking at the Moon' was selected by Tony winner Jason Robert Brown as the winner of the Song For Our Time initiative for Tarento Productions in 2020.

Their new punk-rock musical When We Strike is premiering at the Southwark Playhouse later this month as part of BYMT's new season. The show tells the story of the Match Girls’ strike – the strike that sparked the British labour movement – with a company of all-female and non-binary performers and musicians.

When We Strike runs at the Southwark Playhouse on 30th and 31st August. Visit www.southwarkplayhouse.co.uk for info and tickets.
